Obviously I've been busy since no posts lately!
We had productive 4th of July with housework and boat work and firework viewing from Lake Union. Good thing we took our Motorcycles to Seattle, we were able to weave through traffic to get out of town sooner.
I tried on wedding gowns at Demetrio's on Thursday and was annoyed at their pricing. Given that they were still manufactured in China. I did check Nordstroms once and found a dress I liked there, the main problem was that it seemed like it had been a little damaged from the in and out of the dressing room. I'll head back there for their next season of formal wear though. Too bad they didn't have it on their website. I think I am leaning towards a sheat style dress rather than the hot poofy skirt most brides wear. I think keeping cool in July will be preferable.
This past weekend we took a big trip to Whidbey Island on our motorcycles too! We attended a friend's gorgeous wedding at the
Whidbey Institute, camped out on the grounds and then returned home via a very scenic route mapped out for us. We rode almost 100 miles on Sunday, that's the max we can take I think, it's pretty tiring, mainly on the back with the wind resistance.
Our garden is growing well, we have way more lettuce and carrots than we can eat. We've installed outdoor lighting along the side of the house where the garbage cans are and down the back steps. It looks great!
Vacation is coming up, 1.5 more weeks. We'll be sailing up the west coast of Vancouver Island for my biggest/most remote voyage yet.
